A Message from the Director
David Schipper
2Torial is my pride and joy. It is a place where everyone does their best. It is not only the students that walk through these doors who learn a great deal. After nearly ten years of teaching, I am still learning as well. I make sure that I am doing my best as well. This means having as much contact with parents and school staff as necessary. It also means staying abreast of new educational ideas and tools. I try to instill a love of learning in each and every student that I meet because I remain as curious and passionate about the world around me as ever. Learning does not end when one graduates from school; it is a lifelong process. 2Torial will continue to help those in need of this spark in the days and months to come.

About the director:
I began tutoring over twenty years ago just before graduating from high school. My first university degree was a B.A. in English from Concordia. Shortly after receiving my second degree, in education from McGill, tutoring became a full-time occupation in the fall of 2002. Over the last nine years, I amassed a wealth of experience helping students with various learning difficulties and psychological stresses. I enjoy a challenge. I will often meet a student who is more than one year below grade level for various reasons. It gives me the greatest satisfaction when that student achieves at a level that he or she never thought possible. My ability to tutor any subject in English or French comes in handy as it helps me supervise my staff’s work and the progress of each student. I hire not only the most highly qualified individuals to teach at 2Torial but the most passionate as well because I believe that being an excellent teacher means possessing both traits in roughly equal measure. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have about our exciting programs.
